Tamsin offers talks/workshops to help the public, family day care and childcare centres with practical solutions to develop nature play opportunities in their outdoor areas. These lively, interactive sessions are packed full of visuals and design ideas to activate nature play in any space.

Nature's Playground: Crafting Backyard Bliss for Kids

This power point presentation is an introduction to the benefits of nature play, what it looks like and how to create spaces to activate open-ended creative play. This talk will inspire participants to start their nature play journey and find out more.

Wildchild Gardens, design for backyard nature play

This comprehensive workshop provides the skills and guidance on designing a DIY natural playspace. Participants create a plan ready to implement that is suitable for their garden, their children and their budget.

Nature Play Spaces

This short workshop introduces different types of materials and elements that support a myriad of outdoor nature play scenarios. Through a slide show presentation and group activity, participants will gain the tools and inspiration to introduce nature play into their own gardens.

Plants for Play

This interactive workshop explores the role of plants in creating more exciting, sensory places and choosing species tough enough to survive children’s enthusiastic and wild play. Participants come away with a SEQ plant list and the knowledge they need to green their own play spaces.
